Studio Founder & Lead Teacher
Karen Sanderson-Sanz
Classical method · 1:1 & rehab · the signature Tower work
Karen founded Pilates From Within and leads its teaching — classical Pilates that's uplifting and encouraging, rooted firmly in the integrity of the original method. With over 16 years' experience in Surrey, she helps beginners, post-injury clients and seasoned practitioners build strength, posture and body awareness.
Her own journey began after the birth of her first child, when she set out to rebuild her strength and reconnect with her body — a need that grew into a lifelong passion. She trained extensively in classical Pilates, drawn to its structure, precision and results, and continues to deepen her knowledge with leading classical educators.
A graduate of the Everybody Pilates Master Mentor programme, Karen now mentors the next generation of teachers while keeping training standards high across the studio. Her philosophy is simple: Pilates should feel empowering, not intimidating.

Pilates Instructor
Andrew Hui
Reformer · Signature Tower & Mat · Mat & Equipment · 1:1
Andrew brings over a decade of Pilates practice to his teaching, and an intuitive understanding of the classical method. Empathetic and patient, with a keen eye for the detail of each movement, he helps clients build strength and flexibility while developing a deeper awareness of their own bodies.
He first came to Pilates while managing chronic knee pain, looking for a way to build strength and mobility that would work with his body rather than against it — and found in classical Pilates a progressive system that delivers real, lasting change.
Motivated to share those benefits, Andrew left a career in finance to train comprehensively through the Romana Pilates International instructor programme at Kinetic Pilates in London.

Pilates Instructor
Tim Berry
Signature Tower & Mat · 1:1 studio sessions
Tim discovered Pilates in 2005 while dealing with pain and discomfort — and through consistent practice resolved his lower-back issues and became largely pain-free. That experience shapes how he teaches: insightful, hands-on, and focused on helping you feel how your own body moves.
A former Royal Navy serviceman with a background in karate, boxing, rugby and rock climbing, Tim often reflects that Pilates would have been the perfect foundation for all of it. His training deepened his understanding of the method — the connections through the body, and movement from the core outward. He believes in working towards progress rather than immobilising a painful area, using lengthening and mobility instead.
By his own admission 'a hard taskmaster', but empathetic when it counts, he's passionate about helping others feel the benefits of Pilates. Beyond the studio he's a Level 3 Personal Trainer and trains with kettlebells and weekly boxing.
